About the network

The Swedish Network for European Studies in Political Science (SNES) works to promote Swedish research in political science with a focus on European issues and politics, to promote exchanges between researchers and doctoral students active in the subject area and to disseminate our research results to a wider public.

SNES is included as one of the three networks in the Government's initiative in 1997 to promote the emergence of a broad-based European research community in Sweden. The resources are used for a common infrastructure of courses, conferences and working meetings.

SNES consists of twelve member institutions at Uppsala University, Malmö University, Lund University, Linnaeus University, Karlstad University, Umeå University, Linköping University, Dalarna University, Stockholm University, University of Gothenburg, Mid Sweden University and Södertörn University.
